CATFISH! A FILM DOCUMENTARY! FACEBOOK! A SOCIAL NETWORK! What Do They Have In Common?

CATFISH is a thought provoking, chilling, documentary film. A 'must-see' film for everyone who participates in and on an Internet Social Network.

The popular and acclaimed movie, 'The Social Network',  tells the story of how FACEBOOK was created. CATFISH documents how FACEBOOK works.

CATFISH tells a clear, candid story of the realities and pitfalls of 'social networking' in the 21st Century. A story that would not have been possible until the invention of computers and the Internet.

Nev Schulman
Nev Schulman is an up and coming 24-year old commercial photographer based in New York City. He lives with and sometimes works with his older brother and brother's business partner who are industrial film documentarians.

One day Nev receives a gift in the mail from a stranger. A remarkable painting from a picture of ballet dancers he took that was printed in a newspaper.

The artist was Abby, an 8-year old prodigy living in up-state Minnesota with her parents and older brother.

Nev and Meg
From here, a strange story develops. First, with FACEBOOK communications with Abby's mother and Abby and later with other family members, including Meg. Meg is Abby's 19 year old half sister.

As a romance between Nev and Meg develops, with Nev's consent, his brother Ariel and business partner Henry Joost, begin documenting the FACEBOOK relationship.

After 9 months, with over 1,500 FACEBOOK posts, countless phone calls and emails, Nev and his documentarians travel to Minnesota to meet Meg and her family.

Their findings are stunning.

CATFISH is a mystery-thriller of a film with high drama. Only this one is real. CATFISH is educational and instructional on many levels to all who participate on a social network. But mainly it is thought provoking entertainment with Nev's anecdotal real-life story.
