|Hillary Clinton-February 2011|
On February 5, 2011, while addressing an International Security Conference (of allies) in Munich, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warned that "a perfect storm (of instability and violence threatening the World economy) is brewing in The Middle East". At that time she called for world leaders to support Vice President Omar Sulieman in his efforts to bring stability to Egypt.
Now, two weeks and a few days later, Clinton's remarks do not seem as simple predictions. Rather, more like prophesies.
Tunisia remains in chaos with 'the people' seemingly very much ahead of their theocratic oppressive government. Egypt has inspirationally won it's freedom, but now faces labor unrest as the military government attempts to bring order back to their country.
Most recently, in The West Bank, Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad has dissolved his Cabinet. Protests in Algeria look to end the 12 year rule of President Abdelaziz. In Bahrain thousands of protesters have clashed with government Security Forces. In Yemen, 1,000's are protesting their government and continuing to do so as we write.
Libyan Dictator for decades Moammar Gadhafi is in deep trouble with huge numbers of demonstrators chanting he is an enemy of Allah. And in Iran 10's of thousands of protesters are in the streets with violent confrontations with the Ayatollahs elite security forces.
It seems Clinton knew what she was talking about and the 'perfect storm' is coming sooner than later.
